Looking for a varied, people‑focused role? We’re recruiting a Building Coordinator for the BeiYou’ll be co‑ordinating the day‑to‑day operation of one of the Union’s busiest buildings, making sure all spaces are safe, welcoming and ready for use by students, staff and external clients. From leading the Welcome Desk team and managing bookings, to overseeing access, room setups and building checks, you’ll play a central role in keeping everything running smoothly.Working closely with Duty Managers and the Head of Commercial, you’ll help ensure the Beit Building functions as a vibrant hub for student activity and commercial events, delivering a great experience for everyone who uses the space.This is a permanent role, based on a 35‑hour working week, scheduled across any 5 days out of 7. Shifts will include some evenings and weekends, arranged through a departmental rota.What you’ll be doing:Coordinating daily building operations and acting as the first point of contact via the Welcome DeskLeading and supporting a team of 15–20 student Welcome Desk AssistantsManaging room bookings, access systems and building security processesLiaising with student groups and external clients to plan bookings, setups and logisticsEnsuring spaces are prepared, maintained and returned to standard after useCarrying out building checks and reporting defects, hazards and maintenance issuesSupporting health and safety compliance across the buildingDelivering excellent customer service and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environmentFor more information, see the job description or contact the team.
