The TDS EAF strategy is two-fold, to support the financing needs of TDBG franchise clients and generate accretive investments for the bank. EAF’s mandate extends across a broad number of industries and to borrowers located around the world.EAF is recruiting for a maternity cover position. While the role is to support senior Originators this position will also have independent origination responsibilities. This position will have direct exposure to CIB RMs, DCM, and other business lines within TDS and will be a highly valued and contributing member of the team.Primary Job Responsibilities IncludeLoan OriginationSupport senior Origination team by identifying new ECA loan opportunitiesBecome familiar with TDS clients across asset intensive industriesTelecom, Aviation, Industrials, Power, Mining, Defence, othersReview credit tools & financials to understand client’s capital structureDevelop relationships with key deal sourcing partners:External – Banks, Borrowers, Exporters, ECAsInternal – Credit Management, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Global Transaction Banking, Debt Capital MarketsRepresent TD at annual industry conferences – London, InternationallyManage deal pipeline via CRM tools – Salesforce, internal tracking spreadsheetsRun profitability analysis, draft business opportunity memorandumsWork closely with regional EAF teams in the US, Toronto & LondonBuild and manage a strong origination pipeline through direct client engagement, strategic market analysis and internal referrals.Pitch InvolvementPrepare pitch decks & discussion materialsArrange & engage in client calls and preparation of call reportsAssist in term sheet creation and negotiationKeep an organized tracking of the origination activity with adequate reportingCollaborate with product partners – CIB, DCM, Derivatives, FX, RatesSupport deal communication with IB & Corporate Banking RMsIdentify opportunities for cross-sell GTB products, and collaborating with GTB colleagues to pursue the opportunityBecome familiar with rules & norms associated with each Export Credit AgencyAssist in Loan ClosingPost mandate, prepare deal summary for Credit ManagementReview & negotiate draft loan documentation with clientsAssist in execution of loan syndication strategyWhile the primary responsibility for the VP is for Export & Agency Finance, the successful candidate will be asked to also periodically support Working Capital Solutions Origination.Working Capital SolutionsWCS helps companies optimize cash flow cycles, reduce funding gaps, and improve financial stability, enabling growth and operational efficiency. WCS develops client centric solutions to help companies manage short-term liquidity needs via trade payable (Supply Chain Finance, Reverse Factoring / Forfaiting) and trade receivable financing (Factoring / Forfaiting). Clients principally include Fortune 500 companies with head offices located in North America and Europe.
