About the roleThis is a 12-month secondment opportunity to join the Hillingdon Safeguarding Partnership Team, working four days per week (28.8 hours)In this role, you will lead and coordinate safeguarding arrangements for children and adults across Hillingdon, working closely with senior leaders and partner agencies to deliver local safeguarding priorities.The postholder will oversee multi-agency audits, learning from serious incidents, and maintain strong links with national safeguarding bodies. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement through strategic planning, commissioning, workforce development and the production of the annual safeguarding report.The role also represents Hillingdon at key local, regional and national forums, helping to shape safeguarding practice and improve outcomes for children, families and adults with care and support needs.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional who is confident leading complex multi-agency work and influencing system-wide improvement.About YouYou will have:A professional social work qualification and registration with Social Work England A strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, statutory responsibilities and national frameworks Experience chairing complex multi-agency panels and reviews A proven ability to drive learning, service development and continuous improvement Excellent communication, analytical and partnership-building skills A commitment to collaborative working, system leadership and protecting vulnerable residents Please note that this is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months and if you are an internal applicant, this role will be offered as a secondment opportunity.About YouAbout usWe value our employees and are committed to ensuring that they enjoy a fulfilling and rewarding career with us.
