Many sites have properties which too have a wide variety of occupiers, including community groups, sports clubs, commercial businesses, and residents.This is a role that supports the Natural Environment Asset Manager in delivering important programmes of work relating to the delivery of safe, accessible and welcoming services across the Council’s Marina, Bereavement Services (cemeteries and crematorium) and green spaces. The role will require significant energy, enthusiasm and determination; you will be driven to ensure that the areas of responsibility deliver outstanding services.Key Priorities Include Contributing to the delivery of the transformation of South Dock Marina Boatyard and other marina premises and property management of an extensive portfolio of land and building assets that sit within the Parks and Natural Environment Team ensuring that they are compliant, fit for purpose and are financially sustainable. Assisting in the effective procurement, negotiation, renewal and management of leases, service level agreements and concession/management contracts for assets across the Parks and Natural Environment business unit, Managing and implementing the robust monitoring of all the statutory compliance and health and safety.About YouWe are looking for a dedicated, energetic individual to help us protect and shape our services for future generations. We want someone who has the abilities and drive to build on what’s good and to have a laser focus on how to make it even better.We are looking for someone who has knowledge of asset portfolio management. You’ll need experience of working in asset management services and importantly, you’ll need knowledge and practical experience of contract procurement, contract management, and of monitoring and tracking performance.Ideally, you will be qualified to degree level or equivalent, with direct experience of most of the following services areas – statutory building compliance, asset health and safety management, risk management, lease and contracts management (including financial performance and tracking), stakeholder engagement, and how all of these can contribute and improve the services we offer our residents.Appropriate experience, particularly in a parks and natural environment setting, can be substituted for formal qualifications.About The TeamThe Parks and Natural Environment team is committed to delivering safe, accessible, and welcoming spaces across the council’s Marina, Bereavement Services (cemeteries and crematorium), and green spaces.Working closely with the Natural Environment Asset Manager, the team plays a vital role in delivering key programmes of work that support and enhance these valued community services.We are a dedicated and driven team that values energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach.
