Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you.ResponsibilitiesAbout the RoleLead development of scientific publications including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide presentationsOwn content delivery end-to-end, from initial brief through to final publication or presentationTranslate complex clinical data into clear, audience-appropriate scientific messagingEnsure all content is accurate, evidence-based, and aligned to defined scientific narrativesCreate materials for scientific meetings, including symposia slides, agendas, and speaker briefingsPerform internal scientific reviews to maintain quality and consistency across deliverablesConduct quality control and proofreading to ensure accuracy and compliance with standardsCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on content strategy and prioritiesContribute to strategic and tactical publication planning and associated researchMentor team members and support onboarding of new colleaguesEssential For The RoleBachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experienceExtensive experience in medical writing, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentation materialsStrong understanding of clinical research, drug development, and scientific data interpretationProven ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, concise, audience-appropriate contentDemonstrated experience working within publication processes and industry guidelines, including good publication practicesHigh attention to detail with a strong focus on scientific accuracy and qualityExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and deliver within tight timelinesDesirable For The RoleAdvanced degree such as Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Medicine, or Doctor of PharmacyExperience working across multiple therapeutic areas or global, cross-functional teamsCommitment To Diversity & InclusionNovartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.Why Novartis: Helping people with disease and their families takes more than innovative science.
