Field Service Engineer – UK (Medical Devices)Location: UK (Field-based with travel)Job Function: ServiceJob Family: Field ServicesContract Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced neurodiagnostic medical equipment, including EEG, EMG, and related clinical systems, across hospital and clinical environments in the UK.This role plays a critical part in ensuring clinicians can deliver accurate diagnostics and high-quality patient care. You will work directly with healthcare professionals, providing technical expertise, system support, and training while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and commission EEG, EMG, and associated neurodiagnostic systems within hospital and clinical environmentsPerform preventative maintenance, calibration, and safety checks in line with regulatory standards and company quality systemsTroubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring rapid resolution to minimise clinical disruption Carry out repairs and system upgrades to optimise equipment performance and reliabilityConfigure systems within hospital IT networks (including basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting) Provide onsite user training and technical guidance to clinicians and hospital staffComplete detailed service reports, calibration documentation, and installation records accurately and in a timely manner Support both onsite and remote technical queries, acting as a key point of contact for customersCollaborate with internal teams (Technical Support, Sales, Product Specialists) to resolve complex issues and improve service deliveryWhat You’ll BringProven experience in a Field Service Engineer role within medical devices, healthcare technology, or a highly regulated environmentStrong knowledge of electromechanical systems, medical instrumentation, or clinical diagnostic equipmentExperience supporting systems in hospital settings, with an understanding of clinical workflowsSolid troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and (ideally) basic networking environmentsExcellent customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to train and support clinical usersAbility to manage workload independently while covering a field-based territoryFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK and IrelandExperience & QualificationsTypically 3–5 years’ experience in field service or technical support, ideally within medical devices or life sciencesDegree or qualification in Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, IT, or a related field (preferred)Experience with EEG, EMG, imaging, or similar diagnostic systems is highly advantageousFamiliarity with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., ISO, clinical safety standards) is a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and bonusCompany car25 days annual leaveComprehensive onboarding and product trainingOpportunities to progress within a global MedTech organisationWhy Join Us?Competitive salary25 PTO days annuallyCompany CarExpenses refund policyThis is an opportunity to work at the forefront of neurodiagnostics, supporting technology that directly impacts patient outcomes.
