Pre-School Assistant – Bank Full Time

• Growing Stars Pre- School our based in Cranfield, Marston and Stewartby

We are a small pre-school with big exciting ideas, and this role is guaranteed to evolve as much as you want it to. We are looking for a team who want to grow with us and be part of a great community.

We run 5 days a week, offering morning and afternoon session term time only.

Business is open 8.00- 15:15 (Marston) Stewartby (7:30-15:30) Cranfield 7:30-17:45

In addition to being a Keyperson for a group of bright and happy children, you will form an integral part of the team, supporting the Leader in decision-making and day to day planning.

You must be qualified level 2 in childcare (or equivalent)

You will be confident in your abilities and be able to demonstrate a complete knowledge of EYFS, Safeguarding and Prevent Duty.

Desired Skills and Experience:

You will;

Hold a current and portable DBS certificate. All candidates will be DBS checked if they don’t hold a portable DBS

First Aid trained – if not already you will be provided with first aid training

Have a strong understanding of Food Hygiene standards.

Be able to rapidly and accurately count small people who have no intention of standing still.

Be able to sing many songs with enthusiasm over and over again. The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing
out of tune, in front of a crowd of tiny humans is essential!

You must have the ability to read a story book upside down, with at
least five interruptions per page!

Be a creative, imaginative and realistic actor when your the patient at the local pre schools dentist.

Be ready with a smile and a kind word whenever a little one looks up to you.

And finally, you must be prepared to engage in lots of fun activities
and be prepared to get messy! Your hair and nails will be hard to
maintain, but it really is all worth it!

Other information:

Staff work 38 weeks per year, hours to be discussed at interviews.
Staff meetings and some administration outside of these hours
