We work with employers, institutions and partners to deliver premium learning experiences.Economist Education is looking for a Partnerships Manager to build distribution partnerships that drive revenue growth and broaden our reach. This is a commercial role for a strategic, highly driven operator who is comfortable shaping and negotiating complex partnership structures, and who can collaborate across internal teams to take partnerships from concept through to launch and performance.As Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, structuring and managing revenue-generating partnerships that expand access to Economist Education’s courses and programmes. These partnerships may include professional bodies, business schools, corporate learning platforms and other distribution partners. You will shape partnership propositions, drive negotiations, lead onboarding and activation, and manage performance over time.How You Will ContributeDevelop and execute partnerships that deliver revenue growth while protecting the premium positioning of The Economist and Economist Education.Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of partnership opportunities, from early-stage discovery to signed agreements and live launchesIdentify and evaluate potential partners (e.g., professional bodies, business schools, corporate learning platforms, learning aggregators and other intermediaries) and drive outreach and engagementShape partnership proposals and commercial models (e.g., minimum guarantees, revenue share, bulk licensing, co-branded programmes, platform delivery structures)Negotiate terms and conditions, working closely with legal, finance and other stakeholdersLead partner onboarding and activation, including launch planning, marketing coordination and operational readinessManage partnership relationships and performance, tracking activity and revenue, analysing data, and recommending improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, operations and legal to deliver successful partnershipsEnsure partnership agreements are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, aligned with The Economist Group’s editorial guidelines, and operationally viable.The Desirable Skills For This Role IncludeProven track record of building and maintaining successful commercial partnerships, ideally in education, professional services, media, membership, platforms or adjacent sectorsStrong communication and relationship-building skills, including confidence with senior stakeholdersStrong commercial judgement and negotiation skills; comfortable working with complex partnership structures and multi-stakeholder decision processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to model partnership economics and evaluate trade-offsSolid spreadsheet skills and ability to build and interrogate financial models for partnership proposalsStrong project management skills with the ability to take partnerships from agreement to launch and ongoing performanceComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and moving partsStrong sense of ownership; resourceful, collaborative and able to make progress through ambiguityAttention to detail and high standards of executionDegree in business, marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience)Working ArrangementsThe majority of our roles operate on a hybrid working pattern, with 3+ days office attendance required.AI usage for your applicationWe are an innovative organisation that encourages the use of technology.
