The Role
Nuclear Medicine is part of the Department of Clinical Physics & Bioengineering (DCPB), one of the largest medical physics and engineering services in the UK. The Nuclear Medicine service provides a full range of diagnostic imaging, nonimaging tests, theragnostics and radionuclide therapies across multiple major hospital sites in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, supporting around 45,000 patient investigations annually. Our teams work across Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Gartnavel General Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, and the Royal Hospital for Children, providing specialist services regionally and nationally. You will be part of a friendly, skilled, and dedicated multidisciplinary team including clinical scientists, technologists, consultant clinicians, radiographers, nurses, and administrative professionals. We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Scientist to support the delivery and ongoing development of Nuclear Medicine services across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Glasgow has several outstanding museums and art galleries, is the home of Scottish Opera and Scottish Ballet, as well as several internationally renowned orchestras. The city is within 30 minutes of the beautiful Loch Lomond area and an easy drive to several ski areas. The city is a perfect base for those interested in outdoor pursuits such as climbing, walking and mountain biking. Visits to the Department and to meet other staff are strongly encouraged.
