We are looking for candidates who are looking for their first position in social care and bring transferable skills or experience from an allied profession or workers with knowledge and understanding of the care experience. We are a very stable service that deliver high quality support to young people aged 18-25.YPA role is to advise befriend and assist young people who have been care experienced though regular visiting to create positive helping relationships. YPAs also create and review pathway plans to outline how we can support young people successfully transition to adulthood. We are a well- resourced service with co located professionals such as a Mental Health Practitioner, ETE workers and financial wellbeing advisor.We have an active participation team with two youth workers and a care leaver ambassador that support our care leaver forum and run a schedule of activities and participation events. We have a busy group work programme that you will also have the opportunity to get involved in. This includes a supper club, a young parent’s group and preparation for tenancy workshops. There is also a robust training offer for YPA staff and a progression pathway to senior YPA and social work training should you choose to consider that option.
