The Role
You will support effective clinical care by providing an efficient Health Records service to patients in a ward environment. To ensure patients’ health records are administered and processed accurately and remain confidential.
While providing cover in multiple wards as and when required, you will be expected to undertake all duties such as reception of patients, answering the telephone, appointment booking and maintaining demographic information on the patient management system.
Band 2 roles are not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes.

Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an organised and approachable individual to join our ward team, providing a high standard of administrative and front-of-house support within a busy clinical environment.
In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for patients, relatives, and visitors, welcoming them via the ward entry system and directing them appropriately while ensuring all security, health and safety, and infection control procedures are followed.
You will manage incoming telephone calls, accurately taking and relaying messages for members of the multidisciplinary team, and provide information to relatives as directed by nursing staff. Maintaining a clean, tidy, and professional reception and waiting areaincluding equipment such as computers, telephones, and case note trolleyswill also be a key responsibility.
The position includes essential patient administration duties, such as admitting, discharging, and transferring patients using the TrakCare Patient Management System. You will also be responsible for pre-admitting patients and ensuring accuracy by cross-checking ward bed status information against system records.
