Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Instructor based at The Johnnie Walker Bond. This post is offered on a permanent basis. This is your chance to be part of a long established multi-disciplinary team supporting patients/service users to regain their independence through assessment and implementation of rehabilitation programmes.

Hours
36 hours per week; you will be required to work one weekend during an 8 week rota.
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role as post holder is required to visit patients in their own home to provide rehabilitation daily and to travel between bases on occasion.
What You Will Do
You will support a Multi disciplinary team of clinicians to help prevent avoidable hospital admissions and facilitate early discharge from a hospital setting. You will support people in their own homes to achieve agreed rehabilitation goals and maximise their independence.
You will have the opportunity to develop and learn new skills. You will help patients/service users achieve independence and promote health & wellbeing and self-management.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
You should have extensive experience of working with patients/service users in a health &/or social care background. You should have a caring proactive approach to supporting people and the ability to recognise indicators of rehabilitation needs.
