Support Worker – Supported Accommodation Full Time NEW

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality supported accommodation services. The role involves assisting children and young people in a safe, nurturing environment, promoting their independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience working with children, and the ability to develop personalised care plans. Responsibilities

• Supporting children and young people in their daily activities within supported accommodation settings
• Assisting with personal care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
• Developing and implementing individualised care plans tailored to each young person’s needs
• Facilitating engaging activities that promote social skills and independence
• Maintaining accurate records of progress and incidents in accordance with organisational policies
• Communicating effectively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent support
• Driving as required to support outings or appointments
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all residents at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations

Experience

• Previous experience working with children or young people in a care or support setting is desirable
• Knowledge of child development and safeguarding procedures
• Experience in creating and managing care plans
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• IT literacy for record keeping and reporting purposes
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Driving licence is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn driving responsibilities is preferred
