About the role

A senior leadership position within a global Information Security (InfoSec) organisation, responsible for defining and delivering security architecture, engineering, and data protection strategy across a large-scale cloud-native platform.

You will lead the shift toward secure-by-design engineering, embedding security into every layer of product and platform development while enabling fast, scalable delivery across global engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise security architecture and reusable “golden path” design patterns
• Lead Security Engineering teams to design, build, and deploy scalable security solutions
• Drive automation, infrastructure hardening, and secure engineering practices across platforms
• Own end-to-end Data Security strategy (structured and unstructured data protection)
• Ensure security controls cover data confidentiality, integrity, and availability across all environments
• Lead and develop teams of Security Architects, Engineers, and Data Security specialists
• Embed shift-left security principles across engineering and product teams
• Drive secure AI adoption, including LLM integration, prompt injection mitigation, and agentic workflow security
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and IT leaders to translate security risk into business decisions
• Influence security standards and ensure adoption across global development teams

What you bring

• Proven leadership in Security Architecture + Engineering within a large cloud-native organisation
• Strong expertise in cloud security (AWS / GCP), secure SDLC, and infrastructure hardening
• Deep understanding of enterprise security architecture and data protection frameworks
• Experience building and leading multidisciplinary technical security teams
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML security risks and secure LLM design patterns
• Ability to balance security strategy with business speed and product delivery
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior technical and business leaders
• Proven track record of delivering security transformation at scale
