Senior Accountant – Accountancy Practice

Join our client’s team as a Senior Accountant based in rural Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an established accountancy practice, where you’ll play a key role in supporting a diverse client portfolio.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be hands-on, client-facing, and instrumental in delivering high-quality accounting services. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and is confident working within a fast-paced practice environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders and limited companies

• Completing corporation tax computations and returns accurately and on time

• Managing and supporting client credit control, including monitoring balances and chasing outstanding payments

• Liaising directly with clients regarding accounts, tax matters, and queries, offering clear and professional advice

• Daily use of Xero, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting

• Supporting and overseeing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with legislation and deadlines

• Using TaxCalc and other accountancy software as required

• Managing multiple client workloads effectively, prioritising deadlines with excellent attention to detail

• Delivering outstanding customer service and building strong, long-term client relationships

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience using Xero Accounting Software

• Recent experience within an Accountancy Practice

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• A professional and client-focused approach, with first-class customer service skills
