Working within the central Clinical directorate but aligned to and supporting defined commercial categories and procurement frameworks, the role brings structure, clarity, and rigor to clinical quality intelligence gathering and due diligence, ensuring alignment with NHS Supply Chain’s broader strategic objectives.The Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Advisor plays a vital role in the day-to-day management and facilitation of clinical quality Improvement and patient safety across specific frameworks within designated NHS Supply Chain categories. Reporting to the Clinical Quality Improvement and patient safety Manager this role ensures the application of clinical quality improvement, clinical quality assessment and post award quality management processes as well as supporting complaints risk assessments, regulatory alignment, and overall resilience.Every day you will … Apply the Clinical Quality Assurance (CQA) approach across designated frameworks, acting as a key point of contact for clinical quality queries and providing clinical insight to support framework renewals and extensions, with patient safety at the core.Lead and support patient safety complaint investigations and post‑award assurance activities, including product segmentation analysis, risk assessment, and compliance with MHRA Post‑Market Surveillance and regulatory best practice.Maintain clear, structured documentation to ensure all clinical intelligence activity meets NHS Supply Chain standards for transparency, accountability, and governance.Work collaboratively with commercial procurement teams, regulatory colleagues, customer teams, and suppliers to enable clinical‑intelligence‑led, evidence‑based decision‑making that strengthens organisational credibility and safeguards procurement integrity.Drive continuous improvement by contributing to efficiency initiatives, simplifying clinical intelligence workflows, supporting the Simplify to Grow strategy, and applying strong analytical, organisational, communication, and prioritisation skills.What can we offer you?We Want To Reward You For Your Passion, Enthusiasm, And Hard Work So We Offer Much More Than a Competitive SalaryHybrid working opportunities, giving you the flexibility to work collaboratively in the office and remotely.
