Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year

About The Role

We are currently seeking a Programme Manager in Computing to join our Computing and Digital Technologies department at The Bedford College Group.

As a Programme Manager, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

• Computing Teaching & Learner Support – Deliver, assess and support computing programmes from Level 1 to Level 5, guiding students to achieve success and realise their full potential.
• Curriculum Design & Innovation – Develop up‑to‑date schemes of work and engaging learning materials, contributing proactively to curriculum development and innovative teaching practice.
• Assessment, Progress & Quality Assurance – Assess and verify learner work to awarding body standards, monitor progress, complete tutorials, and contribute to quality processes, reviews and continuous improvement.
• Employer Links & Student Enrichment – Enhance learners’ vocational experience through employer engagement, work experience opportunities, interviews, and participation in marketing and recruitment activities.
• Professional Practice & Compliance – Maintain inclusive, safe learning environments, manage behaviour and administration accurately, uphold safeguarding, EDI and health & safety requirements, and contribute to college‑wide events and priorities.

About You

• Qualifications, Compliance & Professional Standing – Degree in relevant specialist area or equivalent industry experience, GCSE English and maths, valid DBS and visa status, with strong evidence of high performance.
• Teaching, Quality & Curriculum Delivery – Experience teaching at Levels 2–4, with strong knowledge of FE quality assurance systems and the use of data and IT to monitor and improve course delivery.
• Learner Experience & Communication – Excellent communication skills, able to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment, manage sensitive information confidentially and build strong professional relationships.
• Performance, Leadership & Innovation – Proactive and resilient, able to meet demanding deadlines, set and achieve goals, influence at all levels, take responsibility and contribute creative solutions under pressure.
• Values, Safeguarding & Flexibility – Work in line with TBCG values, safeguarding, EDI and health & safety (including risk assessments), maintain professional boundaries, and work flexibly across campuses as required.
