Role: Platform Engineer

Location: Remote

Role Overview:

We are hiring a Platform Engineer to build the internal developer platform

that powers every engineering team at Joveo. You will design the golden

paths — the tools, abstractions, and infrastructure primitives that let

product engineers focus on features, not operations.

Key Responsibilities:

– Build and maintain the internal developer platform including deployment tooling and service templates

– Own Kubernetes cluster management, service mesh configuration, and workload orchestration

– Define and enforce platform standards for observability, logging, and tracing

– Build self-service infrastructure tooling that reduces cognitive load on product engineers

– Manage platform reliability, capacity planning, and performance at scale

– Collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed controls into the platform

Required Skills & Qualifications:

– Strong experience with Kubernetes in production environments

– Proficiency with platform tooling — Helm, ArgoCD, Crossplane, or Backstage

– Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure

– Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or Consul)

– Strong scripting and automation skills in Python or Go

– Understanding of cloud-native patterns, GitOps, and platform engineering principles
