Order Picker/Packer Full Time NEW

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and packing products to ensure timely and efficient order fulfilment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and familiarity with warehouse operations. Previous experience in warehouse management systems and materials handling is advantageous. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in logistics, stock management, and quality control within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently pick items from stock based on order specifications using warehouse management system
• Pack products securely, ensuring they meet quality standards for shipping
• Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts if qualified
• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage during picking, packing, and transportation
• Maintain accurate inventory records through stocktaking and updating system entries
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming deliveries
• Operate mechanical equipment safely and competently, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure orders are complete and correct before dispatching
• Stock shelves and organise storage areas for optimal accessibility and safety
• Support the team in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment

Experience

• Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is advantageous
• Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred)
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and inventory control processes
• Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse machinery is a plus
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking & packing tasks
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
