Job Title: NPD TechnologistIndustry: FMCGProduct: Food ManufacturingLocation: NewrySalary: £30,000 – £35,000The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an NPD Technologist to join a fast-paced and growing food manufacturing business. This role will play a key part in developing innovative, commercially viable products from concept through to launch, working closely with internal teams and external customers.You will be responsible for managing multiple development projects, ensuring products meet customer expectations, technical standards, and operational capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the end-to-end NPD process from concept through to launchDevelop and refine recipes in line with customer briefs and market trendsPlan and coordinate factory trials, ensuring successful scale-upWork cross-functionally with Technical, Operations, and Commercial teamsEnsure all products meet food safety, quality, and legal requirementsManage critical paths and ensure projects are delivered on timeAssist with customer presentations and product submissionsMaintain accurate documentation including specifications and reportsAbout YouExperience within an NPD or food development role in FMCGStrong understanding of food manufacturing processes (ideally chilled)Knowledge of retailer requirements and standards (e.g. BRCGS, HACCP)Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projectsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyPassion for food innovation and product developmentWhat’s on OfferOpportunity to join a growing and innovative businessExposure to major retail and foodservice customersSupportive team environment with real scope for development
