Pallet-Track is the UK’s fastest growing provider of palletised freight distribution services.
The Gatehouse Attendant is accountable for verifying credentials and authorising entry and exit for depot drivers, visitors, colleagues and contractors; operating gates and barriers safely; and maintaining accurate and secure gate logs including time, name, vehicle and purpose.
The role is also responsible for proactive site security including denying unauthorised access in real time, conducting visual inspection of vehicles, immediately escalating security breaches or emergencies to management, and communicating clearly with warehouse and facilities teams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Observe site rules at all times
- Carry out all your duties and responsibilities with reasonable care for your own health & safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work
- Co-operate fully in all matters of Health & Safety
- Monitor and control entry and exit of drivers, visitors, contractors and colleagues through the gatehouse in accordance with site access control procedures
- Verify visitor identification and authorisation before granting site access and ensure visitor records are accurately logged on entry and exit.
- Refuse entry to unauthorised persons and report suspicious behaviour or security concerns in line with escalation procedures
- Coordinate site deliveries and communicate with warehouse and facilities teams to ensure efficient vehicle movement and site operations

Hours: Contracted 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday, shifts between the hours of 6:00pm-7:00am
