Mechanical Engineering Internship Overview

Location: Runcorn, on-site
What You’ll Do
- Participate in problem solving with R&D teams to support, design ideas
- Participate in developing design solutions for new projects
- Support the proving and testing of a solution
- Support the Generation concepts for products
- Use Creo with Windchill (3DCAD) to create, develop, store and control designs with the R&D environment
- Conduct design reviews to agree on and progress designs and concepts.
- Participate in problem-solving activities
- Plan and complete testing independently of the team when required to drive solutions forward
- Produce test reports
- Generate detailed documentation, specifications and design packages
- Manage your time and the tasks’ time to make sure the plan is adhered to
- Perform engineering calculations when required
- Manage and communicate clearly with external suppliers and internal teams
Skills You Will Need
- Working towards or recently completed an Engineering Degree
- Interest in R&D and product innovation
- Understand how to prove and present solutions
- Demonstrate design knowledge
