Job Description
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate financial forecasting.
- Monitor project costs and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to stakeholders.
- Support funding applications and manage grant reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to align financial planning with objectives.
- Ensure timely invoicing and effective cash flow management for projects.
- Identify and resolve financial discrepancies within project accounts.
- Assist in financial audits related to specific projects.
- Drive process improvements and maintain robust project accounting systems.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Accountant / Management Accountant should have:
- Proven experience in accounting or financial management within the engineering/ manufacturing/ / defence or construction industries
- Experience of project accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Financial modelling skills
- Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Relevant accounting qualifications or certifications.

- Salary range between £45,000 and £60,000 per annum.
