Role Overview

Puresport is looking for a highly organised Logistics Specialist to support the Head of Operations in managing and improving the company’s downstream operational activity.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the movement of goods from suppliers through to warehouse, retail customers and international markets. The successful candidate will manage key operational workflows including supplier-to-warehouse transportation, inbound shipments from China to the UK, warehouse performance, retail order fulfilment, logistics coordination, stock visibility and process improvement.

The role requires someone who can bring structure, control and professionalism into the operation, while improving efficiency, visibility, accountability and service levels across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Supplier to Warehouse Transportation

Manage the movement of goods from suppliers and manufacturers into Puresport’s warehouse network.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating inbound deliveries from suppliers to warehouses.
• Ensuring all shipments are booked, tracked and delivered on time.
• Managing communication between suppliers, freight partners, warehouses and internal teams.
• Identifying and resolving delays, delivery issues or documentation gaps.
• Ensuring inbound delivery schedules are aligned with stock requirements and commercial priorities.
• Maintaining visibility of goods in transit and expected warehouse receipt dates.

2. International Shipment Management

Oversee international logistics, particularly shipments from China to the UK.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing international freight movements by sea, air or courier as required.
• Coordinating with freight forwarders, suppliers and customs agents.
• Monitoring shipment timelines, port activity, customs clearance and final delivery.
• Supporting landed cost visibility and helping improve freight planning.
• Ensuring the business has clear visibility of international inbound stock.

3. Warehouse Management and 3PL Performance

Manage day-to-day operational relationships with warehouse and fulfilment partners.

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as the key operational contact for warehouse and 3PL partners.
• Monitoring warehouse performance across inbound receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns.
• Ensuring warehouse SLAs are clearly defined, tracked and met.
• Managing stock accuracy and discrepancy resolution.
• Reviewing fulfilment performance, cost, service levels and operational issues.
• Ensuring warehouse processes are scalable and suitable for future business growth.

4. Retail Order Management

Manage the operational execution of retail, wholesale and B2B orders.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating retail order fulfilment from order receipt through to dispatch and delivery.
• Ensuring retailer-specific requirements are met, including delivery windows, labelling, packaging, documentation and routing requirements.
• Managing communication with internal sales, customer service, warehouse and logistics teams.
• Tracking retail order status and proactively escalating risks.
• Supporting OTIF performance – on time, in full delivery.
• Helping create a more structured and professional retail order management process.

5. Data Visibility and Operational Reporting

Improve visibility across the downstream supply chain so the business has accurate, timely and useful operational data.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining clear trackers for inbound shipments, warehouse stock, retail orders and logistics performance.
• Improving data accuracy across systems, spreadsheets and operational reports.
• Creating regular reporting for the Head of Operations and wider business.
• Tracking key metrics such as inbound delivery status, warehouse performance, stock accuracy, fulfilment performance, freight costs and retail order status.

6. Process Improvement and Operational Efficiency

Bring structure, discipline and continuous improvement into Puresport’s downstream operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing existing operational processes and identifying inefficiencies.
• Creating clear SOPs, process maps and working documents.
• Introducing better controls around inbound logistics, warehouse management, retail fulfilment and stock movement.
• Reducing manual work, duplicated effort and avoidable operational issues.
• Helping professionalise the operations function as the business scales.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, fulfilment or operations management.
• Strong understanding of inbound logistics, warehouse operations and order fulfilment.
• Experience managing freight forwarders, 3PLs, warehouses or logistics partners.
• Knowledge of international shipping, ideally including China-to-UK import processes.
• Experience handling retail, wholesale or B2B orders.
• Strong spreadsheet, tracking and reporting skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple moving parts and prioritise effectively.
• Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external partners.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to create structure where processes are unclear or underdeveloped.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, scaling business.

Desirable Experience

The following would be beneficial but not essential:

• Experience in FMCG, wellness, supplements, nutrition, beauty, consumer goods or ecommerce.
• Experience working with Shopify, ERP, WMS, inventory management or order management systems.
• Knowledge of customs documentation, Incoterms and landed cost calculations.
• Experience improving warehouse SLAs and fulfilment KPIs.
• Experience supporting retail accounts or major retailer delivery requirements.
• Experience implementing SOPs, dashboards or operational reporting tools.

This role would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of operational complexity. They should be hands-on enough to manage day-to-day logistics issues, but structured enough to build better processes, reporting and controls.

• The ideal person will not simply “coordinate tasks” they will bring discipline, visibility and professionalism into the operation, helping Puresport scale with stronger systems, clearer accountability and more reliable execution.
