We are seeking to appoint an individual to contribute to the growth of evidence synthesis teaching and research at the University of Liverpool. You will join an innovative University that is passionate about inspiring people to learn and achieve, that celebrates individuality and ingenuity, energy and enterprise, and is committed to enhancing both the student experience and our research excellence.
The role will be based in the Liverpool Reviews and Implementation Group Evidence Synthesis workstream (LRiG-ES), within the Department of Health Data Science, alongside a well-established team of experienced systematic reviewers, statisticians and health economists. LRiG’s primary objective is to provide healthcare policymakers with accessible and highly relevant research-based evidence to guide them in their decision-making, supporting the effective use of NHS resources and improved population health outcomes. You will develop your own research programme as a leading member of LRiG-ES, contribute to the unit’s strategic development, and will lead core teaching and research activities.
You will have a continuing record of excellence which has contributed to the advancement of knowledge in evidence synthesis, evidence of attracting external research funding in evidence synthesis as well as evidence of academic leadership. You will be highly able, enthusiastic and capable of inspiring those around you. Collaborative working is essential, within the Institute, across the wider university and beyond.
Applications are welcome from those with a background in research from a wide range of areas within the evidence synthesis family, both quantitative and qualitative.
Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
We are committed to enhancing a workforce as diverse as our community and particularly encourage applicants who are of minoritised genders and ethnic backgrounds, living with a disability, and/or are members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
