We do this by placing patients at the heart of everything we do, striving to be the best at what we do and believe that our patients’ trust is earned through the delivery of clinical services to the highest standard.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a healthcare assistant you will provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to the dermatology team, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate patient care in a private clinical setting.Support patients before, during, and after dermatological consultations and proceduresPrepare treatment rooms, equipment, and sterile instrumentsAssist the Dermatologist / Nurse with minor surgical procedures, biopsies, laser treatments and wound careApply dressings and provide post-procedure care as directedTake and manage clinical photographs where required by DermatologistsMaintain patient dignity, comfort and confidentiality at all timesAccurately update and maintain electronic medical records within their scope of practiceManage consent forms and clinical documentation as requiredAssist with appointment scheduling and patient flowHandle clinical correspondence and basic reporting using Microsoft OfficeMonitor and replenish clinical stock and suppliesMaintain confidentiality and comply with data protection regulationsKey Skills / Qualifications Needed For This RoleLevel 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)Care Certificate (completed)Dermatology Specific TrainingSafeguarding Training (Adults / Children)Basic Life Support (or willingness to undertake training)Infection prevention and control trainingPrevious experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a healthcare settingFamiliarity with basic medical terminologyCompetent in the use of Microsoft Office and electronic record systemsExperience in dermatology, outpatient, or private clinical settingsExperience assisting with minor surgical or aesthetic proceduresDiversity and InclusionBupa is committed to making sure that every applicant is assessed solely on personal merit and qualifications.
