We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.The RoleThe medical AHP team at GRI has an exciting opportunity for a new HCSW position within our team. This position is a band 3 generic HSW working alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist and other HCSW’s within the large dynamic team. This position sits alongside two established HCSW’s within the team and two assistant practitioners.The purpose of this position is to assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists with the delivery and implementation of individual or group patient treatment programmes within the hospital. The post holder will accept patients assessed and referred by the AHP Team and carries these as own caseload working without direct supervision. Assists the therapist in the rehabilitation of patients using a range of delegated exercises and manual physical therapy treatments.For Band 3 roles, only posts of 32 hours per week or more may meet eligibility. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) cannot provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for roles that do not meet these criteria, and applications requiring sponsorship will not be considered.Duration, Location, and Working Pattern: This is a permanent postWorking 36 hours per week – This post is part of a 7day service, and the post holder will be required to participate in a 7day working rota, including weekends, in line with service requirements.This post will be based within a hospital site in the North of Glasgow. Key ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will work as part of a multi professional team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care. This will involve communicating with all relevant colleagues to maximise patient care and promote effective multi professional working. Maintaining patient documentation, records and accurate mandatory statistical information to reflect care provided and meet professional is an essential part of this role.This position has a non-clinical role which involves ordering and maintaining stock. Ensuring that cleaning of department, organisation and cleaning of equipment regularly and ensures that damaged or problem equipment is withdrawn from use.We are looking for someone who is keen to continuously learn, develop and put patient’s care and well-being at the forefront of their day-to-day work.
