We are recruiting for a: Green Skills Inclusion Worker.

This could be the ideal next step if you’ve worked as a Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, or in a support role and want something more hands-on, outdoors, and rewarding.

You’ll support young people (aged 17–24 with additional needs) as they take their first steps into the world of work, helping them build confidence, independence, and real-life skills.

No classroom pressure – practical, hands-on learning

Term-time only – great work-life balance

Smaller groups – support 4–8 learners, not full classes

Meaningful impact – see real progress in young people

Varied role – indoors, outdoors, and out in the community

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting a small group of young people in real work environments
• Helping them develop confidence, communication, and independence
• Supporting behavior in a calm, positive, and practical way
• Assisting with Maths, English, and employability skills (1 day/week)
• Helping learners prepare for jobs, applications, and interviews
• Working as part of a supportive team to track and celebrate progress

Experience and qualifications:

You don’t need to have everything — but it helps if you have:

• Experience working with young people or vulnerable groups
• Understanding of additional needs (SEN), behaviour, or mental health
• A background in education, youth work, or care (formal or informal)

Bonus (not essential):

• TA, Youth Work, or Health and Social Care qualifications
• Experience with EHCPs
