Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Full Time Warehouse Operative to join our busy logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through various stages of storage and dispatch. Duties

• Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas
• Operating forklift trucks and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively
• Managing stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory records
• Picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer requirements
• Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
• Stocking shelves and organising storage areas for optimal accessibility
• Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
• Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed at all times during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks

Experience

• Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including stock management, picking & packing, and shipping & receiving
• Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts (licence preferred)
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse machinery is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during load & unload operations
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control purposes
• Prior experience in stock stocking, inventory management, or related roles is desirable
