Finance Operations Lead Full Time NEW

Workfin is a UK-based business building a modern, tech-enabled finance platform for the dental sector.

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Operations Lead to support and oversee:

• bookkeeping delivery
• dentist pay (DenPay) processes
• management accounts
• client onboarding
• team coordination

This is a delivery-focused role requiring someone who can take ownership, support the team, and ensure consistent, high-quality output across clients.

🔧 Key Responsibilities🧾 Bookkeeping Oversight

• oversee and support bookkeeping across multiple clients
• review reconciliations and ensure accuracy
• maintain clean, structured financial records

💰 Dentist Pay (DenPay)

• support and validate dentist pay processes
• ensure accuracy of inputs and outputs
• work alongside systems to ensure reliability

📊 Management Accounts

• support preparation and review of management accounts
• identify and resolve discrepancies
• ensure timely delivery

⚙️ Systems & Data

• manage financial data across systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
• support onboarding of new clients:
• data setup
• validation
• system alignment

🤝 Team Support & Coordination

• work closely with and support the bookkeeping team
• assist in managing workload and priorities
• step in where needed to ensure deadlines are met
• drive accountability and completion

🔄 Process Improvement

• identify inefficiencies
• improve workflows and structure
• support automation and reduction of manual processes

🧠 Skills & Experience

• 4–8+ years in bookkeeping / finance operations
• strong experience with:
• UK accounting systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
• reconciliations
• management accounts
• experience working with UK clients
• strong written and verbal communication skills
