This role for 12 months covering maternity leave.This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Connect EPR team at Great Ormond Street Hospital where you will be responsible for configuring the Electronic Patient Record system used across the Trust. You will work as part of the Beaker team, supporting Laboratory Medicine and Genetics labs to optimise workflows, plan and implement new ways of working and deal with issues raised by the labs. Ideally the successful candidate will have Epic Beaker certification (or experience in another module) but will receive full training if required. The role allows for flexible working, with team members working from home and the Connect EPR office.If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to get in contact via the provided email address.As an EPR Configuration Analyst for Lab Medicine and Genetics the post holder is responsible for:Assisting Ongoing optimisation of the Trust’s electronic patient record (EPR) system within the Beaker team Assisting with the ongoing end user training and support of the Trust’s end users If required, gaining an Epic qualification through successfully completing Epic’s training programme (certified or proficient) Working on several integrated areas to ensure a coordinated approach across all teams Analysing and suggesting ways to improve current workflows and working practices Facilitating agreement for changes in working practices with appropriate stakeholders Matching agreed workflows with those already built into Epic’s EPR system and/or configuring the Epic EPR system using configuration tools to tailor the system Assisting with testing of the systems to ensure it is safe, usable, secure and robust.
