Role Overview

As a Digital Marketing Assistant, you will support the development and execution of digital marketing strategies that build brand awareness, engage prospective students and partners, and drive measurable growth in applications and enquiries. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to manage the school’s online presence, optimise search performance, implement paid campaigns, and analyse performance data to inform decision-making and campaign improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

• Create, schedule, and publish compelling content across social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube).
• Monitor and respond to comments/messages in a timely, brand-aligned manner.
• Grow engagement and followers through creative campaigns, reels, stories, and community interaction.
• Assist with content ideas, visual assets, and editorial calendars.
• Track and report on social media performance metrics.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

• Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to inform content strategy.
• Optimise website content (pages, blogs, landing pages) for organic search visibility.
• Work with web developers/designers to implement on-page and technical SEO improvements.
• Monitor organic traffic performance and rankings using SEO tools.

Google Analytics

• Setup, maintain, and report on Google Analytics (GA4) goals, events, and dashboards.
• Analyse website traffic, user behaviour, and conversion data to produce insights and recommendations.
• Support A/B testing and performance tracking for landing pages and campaigns.

Google Ads & Meta Advertising

• Assist in planning, implementing, monitoring, and optimising paid search and social advertising campaigns.
• Set up campaigns in Google Ads (search, display, remarketing) and Meta Ads Manager (Facebook & Instagram).
• Track conversions and ROAS; refine targeting, bidding, and messaging to improve performance.
• Collaborate on ad creatives and copy tailored to different audiences (prospective students, parents, partners).

General Marketing Support

• Help produce monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
• Support email marketing campaigns and CRM updates.
• Stay current with digital marketing trends to recommend new opportunities.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Admissions, Academic Teams) to align marketing with institutional goals.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

• Experience in social media management and digital marketing.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console).
• Comfortable with Google Analytics (GA4) and digital reporting.
• Experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads platforms.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and organisation.

Desirable

• Experience in education or non-profit marketing.
• Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Familiarity with CRM systems and email marketing tools.

Salary

£27000 – £30000 (Depending upon Experience)
