About The Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Data Entry Assistant to join our expanding team at Orvix Engineering. This role is crucial in supporting our day-to-day operations by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and organization of data across various internal systems and databases. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle large volumes of data efficiently. As part of our operations team, you will play a vital role in maintaining data integrity, facilitating smooth data management processes, and supporting cross-departmental collaboration. This is a full-time remote position based in the United States, offering a competitive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in data entry, administrative support, or similar roles, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in large data sets.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data entry software.
• Experience with CRM systems or project management tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with data management and database software such as Microsoft Access or Google Sheets.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Knowledge of engineering terminology and data processes is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and update data into internal systems, databases, and spreadsheets, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Cross-check data for errors, discrepancies, or inconsistencies, making necessary corrections promptly.
• Organize, categorize, and maintain electronic and paper records to ensure easy retrieval and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Assist in generating routine and ad-hoc reports by compiling data from multiple sources and presenting it clearly.
• Regularly update and clean data to preserve data integrity, removing outdated or inaccurate records.
• Support data integration efforts across different platforms, ensuring consistency and smooth transitions.
• Collaborate with the Data Manager to monitor database health and ensure optimal functionality.
• Work closely with departments such as engineering, finance, and project management to align data with business needs.
• Maintain digital files in an organized manner, adhering to internal policies for data security and privacy.
• Conduct routine audits and checks to ensure data accuracy and currency.
• Provide administrative support by preparing documents, reports, and communications as required.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information at all times.
