About Us

We are a growing domiciliary optical service providing professional eye care to residents in care homes and sheltered housing. Our team visits care homes to deliver, fit, and adjust glasses, helping improve the quality of life for vulnerable individuals who may struggle to access high street opticians.

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and motivated Customer Service Assistant to join our remote team ASAP.

The Role

As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for care homes, patients’ families, and members of our optical team. You will support the day-to-day coordination of appointments, handle customer enquiries, and ensure excellent service is delivered throughout the patient journey.

This is a remote working role, but previous optical experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and emails professionally and efficiently
• Book and manage appointments with care homes and patients
• Liaise with opticians, dispensing staff, and care home teams
• Handle customer queries regarding appointments, glasses, and services
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
• Support with general administrative duties
• Provide compassionate and professional customer care at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience working within the optical industry is essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Good IT skills and confidence using booking systems and email
• Professional, empathetic, and reliable approach
