An exciting opportunity has a risen within the EPSRC Centre of Doctoral Training (CDT) in Digital and Automated Materials Chemistry to support the effective operation of the centre as the Centre Manager.
This is a full time, fixed term maternity cover appointment, expected to be from September 2026 until May 2027 with the possibility of further extension.
The goal of the Centre is to train 5 annual cohorts of doctoral students in the areas at the interface between physical science and computer science, bringing together chemical knowledge with state-of-the-art computer science, physics-based modelling and automated technologies, such as robotics. We are looking for an experienced research manager with excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills, who has a flexible, proactive and motivated approach to achieving outcomes within a multi-disciplinary environment to manage the Centre. Candidates will also be part of the wider Materials Innovation Factory (MIF) community and the School of Physical Science beyond that, and will be expected to collaborate and to support the wider agenda in terms of materials research activities.
