In this role, you will help strengthen connections between UWE Bristol and external organisations with the creative industries. You will assist the team in reaching out to businesses and partners to promote opportunities such as our student internships opportunities and Professional Practice Week.
You will also assist the development of profiles for organisations joining the CREATE Bristol network, helping to build an engaging platform that connects students with industry. This will involve researching organisations, copywriting short profiles, and maintaining accurate information within our systems.
Alongside this, you will help with a variety of administrative and communication tasks, including responding to emails, updating databases, and supporting the wider Careers and Enterprise team with day-to-day activities. The role will give you valuable experience in professional communication, networking, and project support within a university careers environment.
About You
This internship is ideal for someone who wants to gain experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, and administration while contributing to a project that helps connect students with real-world opportunities. It is ideal for a proactive and organised student or graduate who is interested in gaining experience working with external creative organisations in the South West and supporting careers and enterprise initiatives. It can also be offered on a flexible basis if you are also pursuing your own practice or another intitative.
You will be confident communicating professionally in writing and reaching out to organisations via email or other communication channels. You are able to manage your time effectively, prioritise tasks, and work independently when needed while also contributing positively as part of a team. You will be comfortable using digital tools and computer systems to input information, organise data, and support basic reporting.

UWE Bristol is a campus-based University, with vibrant campus communities that are central to student life.
In this role, you’ll be based at our City Campus in Bristol city centre which comprises of Bower Ashton Studios, Arnolfini, Spike Island and Watershed and is home to UWE Bristol’s creative and cultural subjects. This role is based on campus with the opportunity to work from home for 1-2 days a week.

Interviews are scheduled to take place at our Bower Ashton Campus on 11 th or 12 th of May but we can accommodate by prior arrangement.
Shortlisting is expected to be completed within 2 weeks of the closing date depending on application volumes. We aim to give candidates at least a week’s notice to attend interview.
This is a part-time, temporary post working for 6 weeks over the summer (e.g. 29 th of June until 3 rd of August) – working a total of 148 hours. The start-date and the delivery of this work can be flexible.
Salary offers are made in line with the University’s salary assessment guidelines, reflecting your relevant skills and experience in parity with colleagues.
