Business Architect
The Business Architect plays a key role in structuring the enterprise in terms of its governance structure, business processes, and business information. This person aligns strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and key business and IT initiatives. The primary focus is the business motivations, business operations and business analysis frameworks and related networks that link these aspects of the enterprise together. The Business Architect works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.>
Job Description

• The Business Architect must have previous and extensive IBM Social Program Management (SPM) business-related architecture experience.
• Must be accomplished in translating strategy, the purpose of the organization and constraints (legal, financial and otherwise) into a set of business-level designs.
• Must have well developed skills in stakeholder engagement at all levels, with people from business and technical backgrounds, internal and public facing. Including multi-channel service design, process design and business information architecture.
• Experience in the practicalities of organizational change management is highly desirable.
• A background in the public sector and ideally in the social welfare domain is desirable.
• Experience of creating business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations and systems inter-operate within organizations.
• Must be able to conduct analysis to determine best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, user training, and/or software procurement.
• Ensure SPM solutions developed are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits).
• Evaluate project impacts and escalate issues and risk appropriately.
• Provide overall direction, guidance and definition of business architecture to effectively support business strategy.
• Lead Senior Management through the development of a SPM business architecture plan. Evaluate and present information that will facilitate effective and timely decision-making through written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings with recommendations.
• Work with the business to integrate capability planning and SPM roadmaps into their strategic planning and project implementations.
• Identify planning and initiative needs and ensure proposed initiatives fit with business capability roadmaps.
• Lead the effort to identify and document capability and initiative needs and strategic prioritization into SPM business architecture deliverables

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• At least more than 12+ years of experience in IT and hands on experience as Business Architect.
• Relevant practical experience (>8 years) as a Business Architect working in large organizations and on large-scale complex programmes.
• A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
• The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions.
• Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.
• The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.
• Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
• Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
• Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
• Architect Certification (TOGAF or others) & SPM Certifications are required.
