Bid Manager (Pre Sales Function)
My Client provides Consulting Services & Software Engineering outsourcing solutions for large Enterprise cross sector (FS, Retail, Mobility, etc) businesses, transforming their digital infrastructure. Their HQ is central London, with 30 locations around the world.
Base Salary: £50,000 + Bonus + Benefits.
Role Summary
This is a newly formed role that will sit at the heart of the consulting function. This is a key role to the global commercial organisation. The Bid Manager will work cross sector and across the companies technology domain specialisms. The role will sit centrally in the business and work closely with the commercial teams, Technology, Service Lines and Delivery businesses.
Responsibilities
Lead the Bid Management Process required to win new customer projects, this will include Proposal Creation, Statements of Work and Commercial Fee Structures.
Provide consultative bid management support solutions for sales function that is proactive, customer-immersed and commercially driven.
Take commercial opportunities and shape them into project proposals that are clearly defined, allowing the sales function to close new customer projects.
Develop a road map that will allow the Bid Management function to become a customer facing solution role, operating as a trusted advisor to global enterprise customers.
Work very closely with the leadership teams across all business functions.
Experience
2 years’ post graduate working for a consulting firm or technology services company
2–5 years’ experience in a consulting, pre-sales, solutions or commercial consulting environment
A consultative mindset, Strategic, ask the right questions and understand how to connect client problems to solutions
Strong commercial acumen
Have a good understanding of AI and how it can be used to solve some of the more complex business challenges.
Excellent storytelling and communication skills, you can distil complex ideas into clear, persuasive narratives
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and run bids or projects in a structured, deadline driven way
A proactive, driven personality that is ready to go after opportunities
Comfortable in an evolving, fast-paced environment where processes are still being shaped.
Inquisitive and willing to challenge the status quo, if something can be done better, you’ll say so
Exposure to enterprise clients and an understanding of how large organisations buy technology services
