Job OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Theatres, Anaesthetic and Critical Care Management Team as an Assistant Operations Manager.The post holder will work closely with the Operational and Clinical Leads to support in the day to day operational management and to ensure delivery of its strategic and operational objectives in line with the Operational Delivery Plan.The post demands a proactive approach in order to support the service by being adaptable, having excellent communication skills, attention to detail and problem solving skills.The individual will be a key contributor to the overall operational, workforce and finance performance and strategy of the department, working closely with colleagues in the wider division.Main duties of the jobTo manage and maintain performance management systems to support delivery of the Centre’s Operational Delivery Plan and Accountability Agreement.Through the analysis and interpretation of a wide range of complex information, to continuously monitor clinical and financial performance within the Centre.To ensure that all information relating to the activity of the Centre is recorded accurately and in a timely manner to enable performance to be continuously monitored.To work closely with colleagues in the Finance, Performance Management, Corporate Nursing and HR functions to ensure that relevant and accurate information regarding the Centre’s activity and performance is available.To ensure that relevant information on activity and performance is disseminated as appropriate throughout the Centre to support effective decision-making.To highlight areas of concern, prepare and present options for improvement and support the implementation of agreed plan.Working for your organisationOur Poppy’s Promise CommitmentWe believe that compassionate care sits at the heart of everything we do.
