The Assistant Homes Manager will support the Homes Manager in the day-to-day running of residential services, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and wellbeing for people supported in the homes. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring support staff, coordinating rotas and shift cover, and helping to manage care plans in line with regulatory and organizational standards. The role involves maintaining accurate records, supporting inspections and audits, and responding to concerns or incidents in a timely and professional manner. The Assistant Homes Manager will also help build positive relationships with families, advocates, and external professionals, while promoting a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusion.Qualifications Experience in social care, residential care, or supported living, ideally in a supervisory or senior support role.Knowledge of person-centered support, safeguarding, and relevant care regulations and best practices.Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with people supported, colleagues, and families.Organizational and time-management skills, including experience with rota coordination, record-keeping, and basic IT systems.Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor staff, and to model professional, respectful, and inclusive behavior.Willingness to work shifts, including some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as required.Relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care) or willingness to work towards this.Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and non-discriminatory practice.
