Location: LEEDS

Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office one week, 2 days the next (5 office days over 2 weeks).

Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week.

Bonus: 5%, subject to terms and conditions.

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Analyst to support the EU Finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and effective budgeting and forecasting processes. This role assists in preparing regular and bespoke management information/reports, analysing key financial and operational metrics, and maintaining high-quality financial data to support decision-making across the organisation. The role will work alongside multiple international stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and maintenance of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management information packs to support business performance reviews.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles through data gathering and loading.
• Support with the maintenance and update of financial data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect financial and operational information as required.
•  Support with routine and ad hoc financial analysis and commercial modelling, including profitability reports.
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation to enhance efficiency within the finance team.
• Support the development and maintenance of BI/AI tools.
• Support month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals reconciliations and updating business critical master files
• Provide general administrative and analytical support on behalf of the Finance department.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong organisational abilities and time-management skills and the ability to work at a fast pace.
• Self-starter who can work independently under their own initiative.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and effective listener.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI would be an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively while handling independent tasks responsibly.
• Comfortable working with datasets and learning new financial systems/tools.
• Eagerness to learn; a proactive, positive attitude towards taking on new tasks, learning accounting systems, and developing professional skills.

Education/Experience

• 0–3+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical role.
• Qualifications – AAT (level 3) – or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
• Experience working with financial data or reporting tools preferred.
