What You’ll Do
As an Analyst in the Price & Promotion Analytics team at Sainsbury’s, you will deliver impactful, end to end analytical work that shapes pricing and promotion decisions across the business. You will partner closely with the Value Strategy team, Commercial stakeholders, Engineering, and Data Science to build insight that supports smarter and more strategic decision making. You will develop innovative analytical solutions, including ETL pipelines, statistical models, and dynamic dashboards, while exploring new data sources to uncover deeper insight. You will work at pace, ensuring your analysis is accurate, commercially relevant, and always grounded in understanding the purpose behind the work. Through clear and compelling storytelling, you will turn complex data into actionable narratives that influence key decisions across the organisation.
Who You Are
As an Analyst, you are commercially minded, confident working with ambiguity, and skilled at structuring complex problems into clear, actionable analytical approaches. You have strong SQL capability and growing Python proficiency, with a passion for exploring data and identifying opportunities to drive business improvement. You enjoy collaborating across functions, communicating with clarity, and crafting compelling data stories that influence stakeholders. You thrive in fast paced environments and balance multiple priorities effectively. You are committed to continuous development – both in your technical skills and in your understanding of the commercial levers that shape pricing and promotions.
