Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service is committed to providing high quality care using an integrated model of care delivery. You would be working as part of a large team dealing with complex clients with drug and alcohol problems and associated physical and mental health problems. You will be expected to work closely with Children and Families and Criminal Justice Services amongst others. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern: Location based in North West ADRSPermanent ContractFull-time position (36 hours per week)Shift pattern for this post are Monday – Friday 9-5 full time.Key ResponsibilitiesFunctioning as an Addiction Nurse within a multi-disciplinary team for a complex patient caseload requiring specialist ADRS treatment & care, undertaking care manager responsibilities for patients care co-ordination when required. The holistic assessment of care needs including risk assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating the care and treatment for individual patients within ADRS and supporting recovery. Carrying out all relevant forms of nursing care pertinent to the needs of individual patients in the least restrictive and disruptive manner as possible.Responding to health promotion needs of patients focusing on improving the mental and physical well-being of patients. Identifying, and responding to the needs of patients which might be related to vulnerability, gender, health, domestic abuse, adult/child protection and/or self harm. Developing therapeutic relationships with patients and carers ensuring that care needs are identified and met within a participative framework demonstrating principles of equality, dignity and respect accounting for spiritual and cultural diversity.
