Operations & Logistics Coordinator Full Time

Metal Solutions is a leading UK supplier and manufacturer within the roofing and cladding industry, delivering high-quality products and services to customers across the UK and internationally.

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and solution-focused Operations & Logistics Coordinator to join our growing operations team.

This is a fast-paced and varied role responsible for coordinating customer orders from receipt through production, dispatch, and final delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational deadlines are achieved, customer expectations are managed effectively, and production and logistics activities run smoothly across the business.

This role would suit someone with experience in operations coordination, logistics, supply chain, production planning, freight coordination, or customer delivery management who enjoys problem-solving and thrives in a busy operational environment.

The Role

Working closely with production, warehouse, procurement, logistics, technical, and customer-facing teams, responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating customer orders through manufacturing, production, dispatch, and delivery
• Managing and updating production schedules and Gantt charts
• Coordinating domestic and international deliveries
• Liaising with freight forwarders, transport providers, and suppliers
• Managing customer delivery expectations and providing operational updates
• Monitoring operational progress and resolving delays or logistical issues proactively
• Coordinating import/export documentation and shipment requirements
• Supporting efficient workflow across production and warehouse operations
• Tracking deliveries and ensuring issues are resolved quickly and professionally
• Supporting continuous improvement across operational and logistics processes

This is a hands-on coordination role requiring strong communication, organisation, and operational problem-solving skills.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience within operations, logistics, supply chain, production planning, or coordination
• Can manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
• Is confident communicating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Has strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Is proactive, commercially aware, and solutions-focused
• Works calmly and effectively under pressure
• Has good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Has experience with logistics systems, ERP/CRM systems, scheduling systems, or Gantt charts (advantageous)
• Has knowledge of freight coordination, dispatch, imports/exports, or shipping processes (advantageous)

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
