Pulse Environmental is a customer focused, environmentally led, waste management company offering recycling and secure destruction services within the Greater London area.
We are looking for an ambitious and self motivated individual to join us in helping London businesses recycle more and reduce their environmental impact.
The key task will be to assess, advise and help implement effective waste recycling systems for new and existing customers so that they are compliant with legislation and achieving agreed performance targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
It will be your responsibility to:
Have a basic understanding of all current and pending legislation which affects the disposal of wastes
Have a full understanding of Pulse’s existing services and recycling equipment
For Existing Customers
Manage the environmental performance of key accounts and review recycling performance, by
Site survey and waste audits
Attend landlord and tenant meetings as required
Hold Waste Awareness and Sustainability Workshops for staff
Send monthly reports with feedback for further improvements
Continually review recycling schemes in line with legislation and new services available
For multiple site contracts, create recycling reports showing environmental performance across all sites
For New Customers
Carry out site and waste audits in order to benchmark current services and provide information and quotes for improved services
Respond to telephone and email enquiries offering sound and effective solutions to waste disposal
Promote Pulse’s own range of recycling bins
Follow up on proposals and quotes
Plan mobilisation of new contracts and periodically review their performance after 3 months
Sustainability Development
Explore hard-to-recycle waste streams which can be recycled and offer them to our customers
Explore services with circular economy products which can be offered to our customers
Develop and deliver recycling and sustainability educational activities for local schools
Partner with select environmental initiatives and promote corporate volunteering
Develop the reporting of Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions for customers
Social Media
Help improve Pulse’s presence on social media
Help use social media to promote sustainability and best environmental practice
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in the waste industry would be advantageous
Self-confident, enthusiastic with the ability to communicate at all levels
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentations
Knowledge of creative software for designing marketing materials and posters is desirable

Job type: Full-time, PermanentStarting salary: £28,000 – £38,000 per annumMonday to Friday: 8.30 – 5.00pmHoliday: 28 days per annum (including bank holidays)
This is an office based role in E16 4TL. Hybrid working maybe considered after a successful probationary period.
