Accounting Technician (Schools)
Band C: £26,824 to £29,540 per annum pro rata
30 hours per week – Term time + 2 weeks (41 weeks per year)
Fixed term / secondment – 12 months
Solihull Council are looking for an Accounting Technician to join our Schools Finance team, supporting schools across the borough with high-quality financial advice and transaction support.
This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who is part AAT qualified and looking to take the next step in their career. You will enjoy problem-solving and thrive upon delivering a strong customer-focused service in a busy financial environment.
Working as part of the Schools Finance team, you will:
You’ll work closely with schools, internal colleagues, and other stakeholders, helping to maintain strong relationships and ensuring financial processes are delivered efficiently and accurately.
You will have:
Experience of public sector finance or knowledge of local authority accounting is desirable but not essential.
