Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Yard Manager role based in Walthamstow. The Yard Manager will oversee daily operations in the yard, manage inventory, and maintain health and safety standards. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, coordinating the receipt and dispatch of materials, and ensuring that resources are used efficiently while upholding high operational standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Supervisory Skills to manage and lead teams effectively
• Experience in Yard Management and coordinating day-to-day yard operations
• Proficiency in operating Heavy Equipment and Forklift Operation
• Excellent Communication skills to interact with staff and customers.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards within a yard or industrial setting
• Ability to prioritise tasks, problem-solve under pressure, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in a similar role and familiarity with building materials is advantageous
