About the Role

Client-side project delivery, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Engage with stakeholders to capture and define User Requirements, User Journeys, and User Experience.
• Specify technical requirements and specifications.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate day‑to‑day delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Coach and support junior consultants and contribute to team capability building.
• Support proposals, bids, and wider business development activity.

Qualifications

Good understanding of the technical solutions used in Emergency Service control rooms, such as ICCS, mobile data and the Airwave network.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of the Command & Control, Communications and mobilising systems operated by the 3ES.
• Have an appreciation of test (verification and validation) approaches and techniques employed in the delivery of mission critical solutions.
• The ability to build effective working relationships in a complex multi-stakeholder environment and demonstrable experience of delivering ICT projects successfully in such environments.
• Experience of contributing to the development of successful business cases.
• Experience of working under an agile delivery programme, having an appreciation of process, tools, and techniques necessary to co-ordinate and deliver projects in programme environment.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering ICT projects, including the development of plans, risk assessment, estimation of cost and resource requirements and agreement of these plans both internally and externally.
• Experience and knowledge of radio-based communications technologies such as GSM, TETRA, 3G, 4G, 5G, Private-5G, Wi-Fi calling.
• Good understanding of Mission Critical Communications (MCx).
• Understanding of data networking, critical national infrastructure, and security.
• Consulting and/or client-side pre-sales experience.

Base location is flexible and Mason Advisory have offices in Manchester and London.
