Salary: from £39,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience) Permanent Location: Alton Water One Team, One Park, One Experience Do you have experience of working in the activity sector? This is an exciting time to join our team as an Activities Manager, as we look to open for another season of our Aquapark at Alton Water!
Role Responsibilities:
The Activities Manager will be responsible for the coordination and management of commercial, corporate and community activities of the park including, Aqua Park, Water sports Centre Management, Lifeguarding, Swimming, Environmental Education and Bush Craft activities along with added value events (Halloween Trails, Pond Dipping Days etc). You will also be responsible for the operational delivery of corporate events.
Be creative and driven to help us build our activity business bringing new activity to our Park. You’ll be commercially focused and will connect the delivery and sale of all park services to provide the best experience for our customers and maximise our potential to attract revenue for the park.
Using your excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills, you’ll develop service, safety and sales across a varied activity portfolio. As a member of the parks management team, you’ll put the customer and safety first and will be a key support to operational rotas at peak times. As a member of the Alton Water Senior Team you will be required to deputise for the General Manager on a rota basis.

What does it take to be a Activities Manager?
- Demonstrable experience of working in the activity sector
- RYA Qualified
- Experience having previously run watersports/aqua parks
- Proven customer service experience gained through a variety of roles across the activity sector
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in activity management
- Previous line management experience preferably gained across sizeable teams
- Commercially and service focussed
- Full Driving Licence (Essential for role)
- Every other weekend off
