The opportunityWe are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager with prior experience in a hands-on game development role to join our Engine Product team. You will play a pivotal role in defining product requirements with technical input on customer need, value, measurability, as well as the ability to use and demonstrate product in a hands-on fashion.This role will be focused on the user experience of the Unity engine’s authoring features, helping to identify and implement usability improvements across Unity’s Editor, Hub and beyond.What you’ll be doingWorking across the Unity engine, hub and other user touchpoints to identify and implement improvements to workflows, usability and improve the user experienceCultivate strong relationships with Engineering counterparts to lead product areas hand-in-hand. You will drive feature delivery across disparate teams, clearing roadblocks and aligning priorities.Partner with stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Quality, Design, Documentation, Program Management) to identify business goals, user needs, and technical requirementsPrioritize product features and improvements based on a mix of data and user feedback from key external partners and our wider development community.Collaborate with other product team members to ensure solid cross-product integration and minimization of redundant feature codeFacilitate customer feedback loops to refine and improve the product by iteratively adding customer valueHands-on tests and demos to understand requirements and proposed solutions, verify deliveries, and showcase delivered features to customers, users, and partnersWhat we’re looking forExperience working in Unity, ideally as a game developerTechnical expertise and the ability to evaluate complex technology stacks that cross multiple systems and platforms (i.e. game engines, cloud services, and external APIs).Proven experience and knowledge of UX flows, with an ability to understand and improve on how users engage with software & UI.Strong product management experience, having lead technical product delivery of high impact features or projects, along with strong data and research skills.Exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively simplifying and articulating complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences, from engineers to executives.Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.Strong skills in roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and stakeholder managementCross-functional collaboration capabilities to bring teams together as we drive towards common goals and prioritiesYou might also haveTechnical understanding of game engine architecture, feature development, and the developer experienceExpertise in high performance programming with languages such as C# or C++Storytelling and visual presentation abilities to distill sophisticated topics into clear and concise communicationsWillingness to travel (up to 25% at peak times)Additional informationRelocation support is not available for this positionWork visa/immigration sponsorship is not available for this positionBenefitsAt Unity, we want our team members to thrive. The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set. Gross pay salary : £86,200 GBP – £129,400 GBP
